The purpose of this project is to develop a linear dynamic model for joints and interfaces that can be incorporated into existing commercial finite element codes.  The goal is to develop guidelines in designing models for joints and interfaces. This work provides insight to the analyst on to how the model should be designed in the joint region.

This modal consists of three parts:

• Case
• Body
• Collar

For each part we build a individual model and update the model by using modal results:

Then we assembled the parts together and run the software to gain the modal result for this complex modal.

After that we updated the model by changing the mechanical properties at the contacts surfaces.
